BRING THE NOISE!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW! Never has a horn caused so much trouble and been so misunderstood.  Like the controversial, much maligned Vuvuzela!  LENA has laid down her HORNE and AL feels HIRT by "The flight of the Bumblebee's".  As he waits for his green hornets to sting the world back to reality.  The tugboats on the Hudson blow their horns long and loud in respect for their little brother; the VUVUZELA!  And now gentle readers, a brief history.
The vuvuzela (English pronunciation): /vuːvuːˈzeɪlə/, also known as lepatata (its Tswana name) is a typical 2.13 ft plastic blowing horn that produces a loud, distinctive monotone note, typically around the B♭ below middle C.   A similar instrument, known as the corneta, is used in Brazil and other Latin American countries. Many types of vuvuzela, made by several manufacturers, may produce varying intensity and frequency outputs.  The intensity of these outputs depends on the blowing technique and pressure exerted.  Traditionally made and inspired from a kudu horn, the vuvuzela was used to summon distant villagers to attend community gatherings.  The vuvuzela is most used at soccer matches in South Africa, and it has become a symbol of South African soccer as the stadiums are filled with its loud and raucous sound that reflects the exhilaration of supporters.  The intensity of the sound caught the attention of the global soccer community during the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup in anticipation of South Africa hosting the 2010 FIFA World Cup.  The origin of the term vuvuzela is unknown, and credit for the invention of the vuvuzela is disputed. New controversies over the invention have arisen in early 2010. Freddie "Saddam" Maake claimed the invention of the vuvuzela by adapting an aluminium version in 1965 from a bicycle horn and has photographic evidence of himself holding the aluminium vuvuzela in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.  Plastics factory Masincedane Sport claimed it invented the vuvuzela, and the Nazareth Baptist Church claimed the vuvuzela belonged to their church.
I am afraid the U.S. and parts of western Europe will never understand South Africa and its traditions.  For that matter, some of the western countries that compete, seem to be amazed at the buzzing power of the VuVuzela.  In the words of CHUCK D. and FLAVOR FAV of Public Enemy, from their hit album, of the same name comes the refrain, "JUST BRING THE NOISE".  So love it or hate it, THE VUVUZELA WILL JUST BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ON!!
