When the weather turns cool at night or even on those mild, 70 degree days, it can be tempting to whip open the windows and shut off the air
Did you know that turning the air off lets humidity build in your home so that the air conditioner has to work twice as hard to get the temperature back down again, once it's turned on again. An air conditioner's job is to maintain, not stop and start and go from 0 to 60 every day.
Simply leave the air conditioner at whatever temperature you like your house to be. On mild days, if you want to raise the temperature a couple of degrees so the air doesn't come on, that's fine too. Just never shut it off.
