Saints "SUPERBOWL" Brownies

New Orleans Saints punter's mom shares recipe for luck brownies

     New Orleans Saints punter #6, has a pre-game ritual.  For good luck, his family members or his girlfriend brings him brownies before every game.  His mother, Isobel Morstead said the tradition started when Morstead was at Southern Methodist University and his grandmother sent him some brownies before a game.

                                  
Brownies #6 

Ingredients
1 cup butter

1 3/4 cup sugar

4 eggs, separated, whites beaten until stiff

4 1-ounce squares melted chocolate

2 teaspoons vanilla

1/3 cup milk

2 cups flour
         
Directions                      
Beat butter and sugar until creamy.  Add egg yolks and chocolate.  Mix in flour.  Add milk and vanilla.  Fold in egg whites.  Spread in a lightly greased 9-by-9-inch pan. 

Bake 30 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven.
