Social networking services is the practice of expanding the number of one's business and/or social contacts by making connections through individuals.Here in these article , I m discussing about the two major social networking sites HootSuite vs Simplify360°. Any interesting ‘tweet’ or a ‘post’ gets ‘re-tweet’-ed or ‘Like’-d by dozens of hundreds within a matter of minutes and ‘Eureka!’, a new selling strategy is born!
Dozens of websites come to aid on the call for social media management, but only a few offer solutions taking Social media management to the next level helping an entrepreneur read the minds of the masses, gathering potential clients on the way. Here, I quote my views on a couple of brand management services, the well-known HootSuite and the newborn Simplify 360°.
HootSuite:
Within the couple of years after its inception, HootSuite hit 1 million users mainly owing to the reason that the basic account is free (and will remain free as claimed by HootSuite). Built mainly as a twitter account management service, HootSuite offers necessary tools like the multiple twitter accounts manager and the URL shortener. (The controversy over the ‘bar’ and ‘Non-bar’ URL shortener happens to be a separate topic of discussion!) It grew to leverage the other networks like Facebook, LinkedIn, Foursquare, MySpace as well. On an advanced level, HootSuite helps power-users (mainly comprising of entrepreneurs) to track the ‘sentiments’ and find out who is influencing their trade providing eye-candy charts that can be used in business presentations.
HootSuite after addicting its users with its features and ‘kewl’ looks now threatens the pockets of any amateur entrepreneur, who wants to reach out to his clients modestly. The features such as team management and adding more networks are now being charged (15$ for an extra team member!) and many not-so-flamboyant power-users with even as little as a handful team members are looking for other cost-effective alternatives.
Simplify360°:
Simplify360° comes to your aid if you are looking for a cost-effective alternative for HootSuite. (Not those for fellas who ‘Hoot’ freely!) Though Simplify360 came into existence pretty recently, it offers almost all the vital functionalities as offered by HootSuite at a much lesser expense with no restrictions on the number of team members and the social networks that can be adhered to an account.
The added feature called the ‘Campaign Management’ helps entrepreneurs and marketers to set user-defined goals and track the progress towards it. It allows users to create polls and track them periodically thus helping in better tracking of the moods of potential clients. On the eye-view of an entrepreneur, Simplify360° is more than just a networking website it is a powerful media management tool with more of built-in automated sentiment analytics helping in bringing potential clients closer at a reachable proximity.
