He/she must move around different blogs, social networks, ezines, internet radio, establish global distribution, online promos, not only know what a bot is or how a proxy works, but know how and when to use it. So obv, MySpace has now become the all on one source to obtain traffic, revenue and bookings for shows. So the next time some industry rep shoots the biz with you after a show, you won't be hard pressed to answer 'what's your myspace play count and profile views', because he'll probably already know them. This type of program like Hellofriendz, outfits today's artist with the tools to establish real fans, revenue and most importantly fame and name.

Facebook Hit 300 Million !!

It took Facebook five years to get to 150 million active users, a lightning-fast growth rate by any measure. But like track phenom Usain Bolt, the world's No. 1 social networking website atomized its own speed record this year by going from 150 million users to 300 million users in a little over nine months.

Facebook today announced cracking 300 million users worldwide and becoming "cash-flow positive." The world's largest social network had set a goal of being cash-flow positive sometime in 2010. "I'm pleased to share that we achieved this milestone last quarter. This is important to us because it sets Facebook up to be a strong independent service for the long term," wrote Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg in a blog post.

Facebook hit 250 million users precisely two months ago, and 200 million users just three months before that.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg also said today that the company had become cash-flow positive ahead of
schedule (he had originally guessed "sometime in 2010") and called the milestone important "because it sets Facebook up to be a strong independent service for the long term."

We're also succeeding at building Facebook in a sustainable way. Earlier this year, we said we expected to be cash flow positive sometime in 2010, and I'm pleased to share that we achieved this milestone last quarter. This is important to us because it sets Facebook up to be a strong independent service for the long term.-Said Zuckerberg

He also said Facebook is in the black as of the last fiscal quarter:Good for them. Too bad for
anyone who was hoping for an IPO.

Earlier this year, Zuckerberg also said the company expects to see 70% year-over-year revenue
growth in 2009. Facebook board member Mark Andreessen recently estimated the company would hit $500 million in revenue this year.

The site continues to expand its audience at a torrid pace, adding 50 million users just since July
and doubling in size since the start of 2009. About 70% of its users are outside the U.S.

CEO Mr.Zuckerberg said in an interview with Bloomberg last month that Facebook hoped to increase its work force by 50 percent by the end of the year, but stressed that "the thing I want to remind people of is we're way closer to the beginning than the end."

Jessica Biel Tops Brad Pitt - Internet’s Most Dangerous Search This Year

Actress Jessica Biel has overtaken Brad Pitt as the most dangerous celebrity to search in cyberspace, according to Internet security company McAfee Inc.

For the third consecutive year, McAfee surveyed which A-list celebrity was the riskiest to track on the Internet after Pitt topped the list last year and Paris Hilton came in first in 2007.

Biel, 27, who shot to fame in the TV show “7th Heaven” and most recently starred in “Easy Virtue,” was deemed the most dangerous, with fans having a one-in-five chance of landing at a website that has tested positive for online threats, such as spyware, adware, spam, phishing, and viruses.

“Cybercriminals are star watchers too — they latch onto popular celebrities to encourage the download of malicious software in disguise,” McAfee’s Jeff Green said in a statement.

“Consumers’ obsession with celebrity news and culture is harmless in theory, but one bad download can cause a lot of damage to a computer.”

“Every day, cybercriminals use celebrities’ names and images, like Kim Kardashian and Rihanna, to lure surfers searching for the latest stories, screen savers and ringtones to sites offering free downloads laden with malware,” the statement added.

Coming second in the list for the second year running was pop star Beyonce, with McAfee finding that putting “Beyonce ringtones” into a search engine yielded a dangerous website linking to a distributor of adware and spyware.

Actress Jennifer Aniston was third, with more than 40 percent of the Google search results for “Jennifer Aniston screensavers” containing nasty viruses.

Young Hollywood stars Miley Cyrus, Ashley Tisdale and Lindsay Lohan all edged out Heidi Montag and Jessica Alba who appeared on last year’s list.

They also ranked higher than other young personalities including “Twilight” stars Robert Pattinson who came 30th and Kristen Stewart who was 20th, the Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift, Lauren Conrad, Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron.

Megan Fox and Angelina Jolie tied as the eighth most dangerous celebrities on the Web while newlyweds Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen came in fourth and sixth respectively.

However, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, who have featured on most celebrities list this year, were not at the top of risky public figures to search.

The Obamas ranked in the bottom-third of this year’s results, at No. 34 and No. 39 respectively.

Brad Pitt came 10th in the list this year.

Here's the rental listing for the $9 million Hawaiian estate that President-elect Barack Obama is renting over the Christmas holiday. The five-bedroom estate rents for upwards of $3500-a-day and sits on an acre fronting Kailua Beach in Oahu.

The online listing was removed from the Hawaii's Best Rentals web site after the Associated Press yesterday reported details of the Obama vacation retreat, which was purchased earlier this year for $9 million by Kevin Comcowich, a 40-year-old Houston portfolio manager.

Undie Run 2008

This was probably the biggest we've ever seen. It took 10 minutes for the thousands of students to make it through the Strathmore Ave. tunnel.

Last night's Undie Run was definitely different than years past. After UCLA administrators threatened to ban the event from occurring, the student body stepped in and found a compromise: change the route to end at a more secure and well-lit location. Whether that contributed to last night's lower turnout--around 1,000 students instead of the usual 2,000-3,000--or not, the tradition's flavor has definitely changed. However, for better or worse, those who ran had a blast.

Although the Undie Run has been around since 2002 (in lieu of the Midnight Yell), major media outlets really didn't start to catch on until a few years ago. Last night, ESPN, NBC, FOX News and four LA Times staffers were seen at the event.

One of the other reasons why campus officials wanted to change the route and ending location was because too much damage and repair costs incurred. Here's one part overlooked: everyone is hurdling over this brick fencing into landscaping.

This was probably the biggest we've ever seen. It took 10 minutes for the thousands of students to make it through the Strathmore Ave. tunnel.

UCLA Campus Police did not break out the tactical riot gear for the Fall Quarter.
